Red Bull Brandwagen Street Concert - Wax Wreckaz

tl_files/Blog_Pictures/WT12/Wax-Wreckaz-Crew-low-560x373.jpg
The infamous Tribe from Innsbrooklyn have played at each and every shred event in Austria. Every event? Not quite: we shamefully admit that we have permanently forgotten to book them. Which could be linked to the fact that every time we heared them play at a party, we liked to hear them play at the party. And got so hammered, that on the next morning we forgot how good it was. So it´s´really their own fault, that they didn´t rock a wängl party so far. To end this dilemma once and for all we proudly announce a Wax Wreckaz show for the Red Bull Brandwagen Street Concert.

ROCK NIGHT - SEETHER

tl_files/Blog_Pictures/WT12/photo6_300 seether.jpg

Change isn't easy. But Seether vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Shaun Morgan understands that nothing worth accomplishing ever is. "When I was in rehab in 2006," he recalls, embracing a sense of humorous selfawareness that comes with hindsight, "I learned that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." In other words: evolution is key not only to surviving but also thriving. It's a way of thinking that Morgan applies to both himself and to the way his band operates. In a career that's spanned nearly a decade, the power trio of Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart and drummer John Humphrey that is collectively known as Seether has toured the globe on the strength of five Gold and Platinum-selling albums: steadily growing a devoted fan base while continually pushing creative boundaries. Seether breaks new ground again with its fifth studio LP, Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray. As the Wängl guests are about to hear, change is good.

Hip Hop Night - Free Open Air - M.O.P.

tl_files/Blog_Pictures/WT12/MOP1small-560x372.jpg

The year 1993 changed the game and set a new level for all crews, clans and gangs around the globe. The formation of tribes like Wu Tang Clan, Boot Camp Clik and of course The Mash Out Posse had a major impact in the music world, but also in the freestyle sports, streetart and fashion scences.

Especially videos like „How About Some Hardcore“or „Wu Tang Clan Ain´t Nuthin´To Fuck With“, which featured their whole hood, instead of a single artist, were intimitading and attractive at the same time to headz around the globe. No wonder that even in the Austrian microcosmos 1993 saw the foundation of two little families called Texta and Ästhetiker.

In this memorable year M.O.P. appeared on the New York rap scene and dropped their first album  „2 tha Death“ including the street anthem „How About Some Hardcore“. A couple of years and releases later, in 2000 their fourth album „Warriorz“, produced by DJ Premier brought the final breakthrough with songs like „Ante Up“ and „Cold As Ice“.

To the Ä-Crew the M.O.P. show is the ulimate icing of the birthday cake, that we like to call the Vans Wängl Tängl 2012!
